Look back at the 2019 Fraud Liason Forum
The Centre would like to thank everyone who attended the 2019 Commonwealth Fraud Liaison Forum (Forum).
The Forum is an annual event aimed at those involved in fraud control, risk and governance.
At the 2019 event over 500 people attended the first Forum led by the Centre and this was the largest attendance to date.
The theme ‘The Human Cost of Fraud' promoted the importance of building preventative measures into policy and program design. The Forum featured presentations, panels and discussions from a number of fantastic and engaging speakers. There were also a number of insightful panels, exploring themes such as integrity by design, data sharing, collaboration, and the size, scale and impact of serious and organised crime.
Our keynote speaker Karen Cusak (Health Complaints Commissioner of Victoria) spoke about how healthcare fraud is perpetrated through misrepresentation, misinformation and false claims, and the impact of this on vulnerable people and their families.
The 2020 Forum, taking place on the 25 November 2020, will provide an even more insightful, targeted and valuable learning and networking opportunity for fraud practitioners and professionals.
Contact us if you would like to be informed of Forum updates or if you have any feedback or any ideas for the 2020 Forum.
