New PSFA Internal Fraud Prevention Guide

The UK’s Public Sector Fraud Authority (PSFA), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Fraud Prevention Centre, has released the Internal Fraud Prevention Guide.

The guide was developed as part of the exciting new UK and Australia Counter Fraud Partnership and is designed to help public sector departments, agencies and bodies manage their internal fraud risks.

  • staff payment fraud
  • identity fraud
  • procurement fraud
  • assets and computer fraud
  • grant fraud.


Through its interactive design, officials can select each of the fraud categories and see examples of risks within that typology along with potential controls to help mitigate the risks.

It is hoped that the guide will provide real-time problem-solving solutions and increase capability and knowledge of the prevention controls that can be used across organisations.
