The Procurement Administration Counter Fraud Toolkit is designed to help Australian Government officials to identify and manage fraud and corruption risks in the procurement process.
It incorporates leading practice guidance and the latest requirements from the Commonwealth Procurement Rules 2024 and the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Control Framework 2024.
This toolkit:
- identifies key risks and red flags of fraud and corruption in each stage of the pre-award procurement process
- provides practical suggestions on prevention and detection measures to mitigate these risks
- features case studies on procurement fraud and corruption.
This toolkit was developed in consultation with procurement teams and fraud prevention experts from multiple Commonwealth entities, including the Department of Finance.
